Day 1 Tuesday September 14th.

After just having a baby in June, i have decided to get back into shape.  having only gained 27lbs. during my pregnancy, i quickly lost all the baby weight but i still have some problem areas, and need to get back into shape. With the help of my husband who is a exercise science graduate, and a friend who is a dietitian/nutritionist, i have started a workout/ diet plan to get my pregnancy body back into shape.  I will be posting picture of my progress, and updates on my work outs and what i am eating, and also info as my life as a mommy.

Yesterday was my first day starting out, i have a limit of 1500 calories a day to lose a little extra weight. i am starting off around 130lbs to 132lbs. depending on the time of day that i way my self. *For everyone that does not know, in the morning your way less than you do at night. My meals for the day included   BREAKFAST  Toast-2slices-150 calories, Milk-1cup-150 calories, Butter-90 calories, Jam-50.  I am also having a protein drink of: Orange Juice-8oz.- 120 calories, and Whey Isolate Protein- 1 scoop- 105 calories.
So my calorie intake for this morning was 665. This being my first day i did not realize how fast it all adds up!

For LUNCH my husbands grandparents fixed  hot dogs, probably not the best thing to eat but i did not want to turn down food that was already plated for me, along with that they had already opened a pop for me.  With that being said i did not have the healthiest lunch.  Wheat Bread- 1slice-75calories, Hot Dog-1-150calories, Pop-1can-150cal., Ketchup-15cal., Mustard-0cal.  Calorie intake for lunch 390, which is not really that bad but it would have been better if i had eaten healthier.

For DINNER my husbands grandmother made pork chops and green beans, and stuffing. Before dinner i tried to round up all the packages to see what a serving size was and how many calories, but could not find them all. If you are ever in this situation simply Google the food and there are plenty  of web sites that will tell you what it is worth. So before dinner i looked up what i could not find.  Green Beans- 2servings or 1cup-40 calories. Pork Chop- Small- 160cal., Stuffing- 1/2 serving or 1/4 cup-80 calories. Also i take another Protein drink after working out so i just add it into my dinner total , OJ-120cal., Protein- 150cal. Total Calories 505.


When all added up i took in 1560calories, more than what i should have. So i am going to look at what i ate and minimize my portion, such as my toast for breakfast having only one slice will cut it back 75 cal. so my total intake would have been 1485cal.

When it comes to working out, i do not know to much about what to do so my husband really helps me out. i am very lucky to have a home gym, and to have him working out with me. It keeps me motivated to work hard.
 I have also started taking a exercise enhancing dietary supplement from GNC called be-HOT, my husband choose this supplement for me because they say there have been good result from it.

Yesterdays work out was Back & Biceps.   Starting off with (Back) here are the exercises.
  We started of with :   PULL UPS  as many as you can three sets. NEGATIVE PULL UPS  as many as you can three sets. Then T-BAR Rows I did 6 reps of 15lbs. for three sets then 10 reps of 10lbs. for one set, 12 reps of 7.5 for two sets. REVERSE PUSH UP  as many as you can for three sets. SHRUGS again do three sets of 6 reps. one set of 10 rep. two sets of 12 rep. at your desired weight. Next is Biceps, which i did not get to do a lot of because it was starting to get late and i needed to get Braeden in the bath, and get him to sleep. All of these excercises are in  three sets of 6 reps. one set of 10 rep. two sets of 12 rep. at your desired weight.  BARBELL CURL, BARBELL REV. CURL, PRONE CURLS, PREACHER CURL W/ DUMBELSS, HAMMER CURL.
